Announcing the Seattle Indies mentorship program

Happy Holidays to everyone that is celebrating! Thanks in part to the continued generous support of our Patreon subscribers we are excited to launch the new Seattle Indies mentorship program! This is a bit of a soft launch as we will be taking signups starting now and then getting the program going in earnest in the new year. 

We are looking for both mentors and mentees and will do our best to pair people up based on their preferences. We are asking mentors to commit to at least one meeting per quarter with your mentee(s) and will only pair you up with as many mentees as you feel comfortable taking on. For mentees we are aiming to focus this on people from traditionally underrepresented communities in the industry and to pair you up with more experienced people from similar backgrounds whenever possible. The program is open to all regardless of your cultural background or gender identity.

We expect it to take a bit to get rolling but it will hopefully become a valuable resource for our members and that mentees will grow into mentors and create a self sustaining ecosystem to help everyone here find their way as a game creator, indie developer or in your career at a larger studio.
