SUMMARY:Capitol Hill Board Game Social
DESCRIPTION:Join us every month for our Saturday social at Phoenix Comics & Games in Capitol Hill! \nINFO:\nThis meetup is primarily for indie game developers or anyone in their game development journey\, but all are welcome! This is a great way to meet new people\, make connections\, and explore the city. \nThere is no need to bring anything\, just yourself is enough. The venue has plenty of board games available on-site and the host will bring their own collection as well. If you do have a game you’ve been wanting to play or learn\, bring it! This could also be a great opportunity to do some play testing for your own game\, whether it be a board game or video game. \nThere are plenty of food and drink options nearby if you get hungry. \nPARKING & TRANSIT GUIDE:\nThere are plenty of paid private lots nearby\, although a cheaper option would be to use public transportation. The Capitol Hill Light Rail station gets off just down the road and will get you to our venue in only a few minutes of walking. \nSee you there!

SUMMARY:Playtesting Club - Chuck's Hop Shop (Central District)
DESCRIPTION:Looking for feedback on your game? Only had other game developers try it? Playtesting Club is for you!\nPlaytesting Club takes place at Chuck’s Hop Shop (Central District) on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and at Stoup Brewery on the 4th Wednesday of each month. \nSet up a laptop and have strangers from all walks of life try your game! It’s never too early to bring something – as a wise game developer once said\, “as soon as you have something that you can move on the screen\, hand someone the controller and see what they think.” Whether you have a simple prototype with programmer art or you’re close to shipping something\, bring your game! We don’t require polished art here – make sure it’s fun before you pretty it up!\nYou’re going to get feedback either way – by playtesting\, or eventually in your Steam reviews. Why not get ahead of it and get that feedback before you release? Come to Playtesting Club to ensure your steam reviews will be rock solid! \nSeattle Indies strives to be an inclusive and welcoming community for everyone. By attending our events\, you are agreeing to follow our code of conduct (https://www.seattleindies.org/code-of-conduct/)

SUMMARY:Playtesting Club - Stoup Brewery
SUMMARY:Indie Co-working Support Group (ISG - IRL)
DESCRIPTION:Curious how to start learning something? Want to chat with someone of another discipline? Need a place to work on a project and share it with others? ISG is a social\, game development focused work group that encourages people of all skill levels and disciplines to come together and collaborate for the benefit of all. \nThis is a great place to begin your game development journey and learn from fellow game creators as they work on their projects. \nTo attend\, you must be fully vaccinated (second shot received by October 5th). Note that you will need to bring proof of vaccination (a photo on your phone is okay) and identification. \nBring your laptop and any software you will need to work on your game/art/music. \nHow it Works: \n• Show up\, introduce yourself\, let everyone know what you hope to accomplish \n• Ask for help with anything\, get to know others\, share your projects\, or enjoy the company of others as you work! \n• Share your highs and lows\, high fives all around \n\nHow to find us:\nIt can be kind of hard to find us! We are on the 4th floor of the Armory building. Follow the signs to the restrooms\, and nearby you’ll find the stairs and the elevator. Take one of those to the fourth floor and look for the Seattle Indies banner. \n\nAccessibility information:\nThere is paid street parking all around the neighborhood. There are paid parking garages at 516 Harrison St\, 650 3rd Ave N\, and at the corner of 5th Ave N and Harrison St. The Seattle Center has nearby bus stops serviced by the 1\, 2\, 3\, 4\, 8\, 13\, 15\, 17\, 18\, 19\, 24\, 32\, 33\, D Line\, and the monorail. The venue is listed as wheelchair accessible. The Seattle Center has additional accessibility information available on their website here: http://www.seattlecenter.com/about/accessibility.aspx \nIf you are coming by Light Rail it is best to get off at Westlake Station and then ride the Monorail over to the Seattle Center which drops you off right at the Armory. \n\nSeattle Indies strives to be an inclusive and welcoming community for everyone.
