Fun times and friendly faces at the 2024 Seattle Indies Holiday Party

Dec 13th, 2024 by Tim Cullings

2024 was a busy and banner year for Seattle Indies and we closed it out with one of our most anticipated events of the year, the annual Seattle Indies Holiday Party. Nearly 400 of our community members took over GameWorks Seattle on Sunday December 8th to celebrate the year that was and look forward to what lies ahead. There is no denying that the past two years have been challenging to say the least for the games industry so an evening of good cheer, conversations, friendly competition, and support was a much needed break for a few hours.

Our guests were treated to food prepared by the excellent kitchen staff at GameWorks, cocktails, mocktails, and other delicious beverages from the bar staff, unlimited games, and the ever-popular photo booth. Take a look at all of the photos from our photobooth and find yours if you didn’t get them at the party.

Some came dressed in their Holiday best while others kept it fun and festive with ugly sweaters and festive t-shirts.

Thanks again to our volunteers who helped make the event a wonderful experience for our guests, the organizers who give their time throughout the year to host events, moderate our Discord, and are the pillars of the community that help hold it all together and support our community night and day. Thanks to the Seattle Indies Board members for doing the work to keep the nonprofit running and help guide Seattle Indies into the future.

Thank you to our sponsors for this event Stoic Studio, Mega Crit Games, Premack Rogers Downs P.C., Unbound Creations, and AIE. Thanks to our Patreon supporters who help support our mission on an ongoing basis. Thanks to our partners and sponsors who have supported our other events and helped make this such a successful and memorable year. Thanks to all of you, our Seattle Indies community who comes to our events, participates in the discussion on Discord or Facebook and are the reason we do all of this.

Special thanks to Jesse Sieden for photographing the event and capturing these wonderful moments and memories. Find the rest of his photos from the event here.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for 2025 so stay tuned to our website, newsletter, Discord, and social media channels for all of the latest info about upcoming events and initiatives we are hosting and leading.
